Singapore — est. 2026

Built for the hand
you actually use.

Scissors, kitchen tools and stationery designed for left-handed people — curated and sold in Singapore for the first time, by someone who's spent a lifetime making the wrong-handed version work.

Right-handed Left-handed

This is the default. Nine in ten people never think about which way a pair of scissors curves.

Why we exist

A shop I built for my own kid — and then for everyone else's.

I'm left-handed. My child is too. I spent thirty-odd years quietly getting used to scissors, pens and knives that were never built for me — and I didn't want the same for my kid. — Founder, The Other Hand

About one in ten people in Singapore is left-handed. Almost none of the tools sold here are made for them — so most of us just adapt, quietly, for a lifetime.

The Other Hand started as one parent looking for a pair of scissors that wouldn't frustrate her child. It's now a small, curated shop bringing those same well-made, genuinely mirrored tools to every left-handed person in Singapore who's tired of making do.

We don't manufacture anything ourselves — we search out the best left-handed tools already being made, and bring them here, properly.

~10%

of people are left-handed — roughly the same share in Singapore as anywhere else in the world.
